Angkor Music Studio

We greatly welcome your interest in the Angkor Music School in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We are an independent music school established by experienced Cambodian music teachers and professional musicians dedicated to developing the next generation of musicians, performers and educators. Our teachers and advisors are leading figures within important music affiliates including the Angkor Youth Orchestra Association, the Royal Signing Team and the Royal University of Fine Arts and its orchestra. The Angkor Music School offers an enjoyable experience of quality education where music is more than just the ability to perform but also nurtures the emotional, psychological and intellectual development of the student.

The Angkor Music School and the Angkor Youth Orchestra follow a common study programme authorized by Minami Shinichi, the conductor of the Gunma Symphony Orchestra of Japan and author of the well known “Violin Teaching Method”. We teach a curriculum that combines the best of western and eastern methods within a Khmer music context and is supported by a wide range of textbooks - beginning to advanced levels.
